DIAMOND JUBILEE – PLUS THE LAND OF SHAKESPEARE AND DICKENS

For 2012 our “Tour of the Year” just had to be a celebration of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee. Join us for a wonderful 12 day/10 night tour taking in all that is best about English pageantry, history and literature.

You will be in London when the whole country will be celebrating Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee 60 years since she ascended to the throne probably the greatest public celebration in a generation. You will travel back to the time of her great ancestor and namesake, Queen Elizabeth 1st, with time in Shakespeare's Stratford and a visit to Kenilworth Castle where Elizabeth was courted by Robert Dudley. You will learn about her other great ancestor, Queen Victoria, and explore Dicken's Victorian London. Dickens was born 200 years ago and we visit his birthplace in Portsmouth, one of his London homes and the annual Dicken's Festival in Rochester, Kent.

We have added value with two premium theatre tickets, one to the Royal Shakespeare Company theatre in Stratford and one to the Globe Theatre in London, plus all admissions and meals as per the itinerary.
