Depart from Paris, traveling through the western districts to the Normandy motorway. Enjoy the picturesque Normandy countryside before reaching our first stop, Caen, around 10:15am. You will visit the Caen Memorial museum, also known as the Peace Museum, including a guided tour and film followed by lunch.
Next we will depart for the Normandy landing beaches. Listen as your guide brings the history of this epic battle to life. Visit Pointe du Hoc where the Americans won a heroic, hard fought victory. Spend an hour to reflect at Omaha Beach and the American cemetery Saint-Laurent where nearly 10,000 soldiers now rest in peace. See the remains of the artificial landing harbor built by the allies at Arromanches and finally, before returning to Paris, make a photo stop at the Canadian Memorial at Juno Beach.
